I cannot believe the day is here. My heart is absolutely racing. I’m excited and nervous at the same time. I check my watch. 12:15pm. Mmm good plenty of time yet before his plane lands.
I go back to the bedroom and change clothes again. Thank goodness for walk in closets to hide the mess of things I’ve made. This must be the 5th or 6th time I have changed clothes today. I don’t want to be too dressy, I don’t want to be too terribly casual either. Ok ok fine. My white sundress with the pretty flowers on it that hugs my curves and has a nice flowing knee-length skirt will do. Oh where did I put those sandals? D’oh of course there they are. Pretty pink strappy sandals will go nicely with the flowers on my skirt.
Next big question…what to wear underneath? A pretty white lace bra of course but on bottom? I don’t want him to presume anything if I go diapered, I don’t want him to not be happy if I’m not. Decisions, decisions…
I check my watch again. 12:45. Eeks. I’d best get a move on. One last look in the mirror. Hair looks good..not that it will matter once I step out of the apartment and the ocean breeze hits it! Makeup ok, barely there with just a shimmer of lipgloss. Good enough.
I grab my keys and my purse and the sign that I had made. It was too cute. “Hi, my name is Jenna, and I’ll be your tour guide…” I laughed. As nervous as I was, I was excited too to show off where I lived. I was just hoping everything would go as well as I thought it would.
His plane will be landing soon. We’d talked about this and joked about this, but when he told me he was going to do it this weekend, I didn’t believe him. It wasn’t until right before he left that he called and gave me his flight number and arrival time. I checked on the LAX website. Sure enough, that matched. And he’d have no reason to tease me about this. Not when we’d talked so much about it.
“I’ll be wearing my blue jersey…” that’s what he’d said to me. I heard him say it in my head over and over again on the drive to the airport. Mmmm I loved that picture of him in it. He looked so sexy. I could only imagine him wearing it in person. Am I overdressed? Too late to change now.
I pull into the airport and park and walk to his arrival gate. I check my watch again. 1:27. Butterflies are in my stomach now big time. Any minute he’ll walk into my life for real. Now is as good a time as any.
I stand there with the sign in my hands and look up, just in time to spot him. He’s grinning ear to ear. I can’t help but giggle immediately and run up to him and give him the biggest hug. Dropping the sign in the process, of course. We both reach down to pick it up and hilarity ensues. We knock heads and both fall back on our rear ends. He looks at me. I look at him. We’re both giggling, thinking the same thing. Thank goodness for padded butts!
He helps me up and I straighten my dress. He picks the sign up and laughs. He runs his free hand down my arm and grasps my hand in his, ever so sweetly. The butterflies return. We start to walk out of the airport, chit-chatting as we go.
“Are you hungry? I know airplane food is terrible. How was your flight? Was it ok? Any turbulan…” and with that he stopped walking, pulled me backwards to face him, dropped his luggage and the sign, and kissed me. There was no mistaking that kiss. I feel it all the way to my toes. I am calm. I am comforted. I am happy. I am glad I am in diapers…
We stand there and kiss and kiss and hug and cry and kiss and hug and hug some more. We aren’t even aware of anything else going on around us. The people that are stopping to watch. The announcements over the speaker. The hustle and bustle of the airport. In each other’s arms, it is us and us only. The world outside for those moments doesn’t exist, and it is the most amazing feeling.
He grins at me. I know that grin. That grin belongs to the little side of him. The playful, mischievious side. He swiftly grabs his bag and the sign, taps me on the shoulder and takes off. As he runs down the airport terminal, I laugh and forget for the time being that I’m in a skirt. I reach down, slip off my sandals and chase after him, giggling the entire way. It feels so right, so good to forget about things and just chillax and play.
Well that didn’t last long. Airport security stops us. No matter. We look at the security guard, look at each other, and bust out laughing in the middle of the lecture. “Can you keep a secret?” I ask the security guard. The security guard frowns. “No matter. The secret to fun and happiness lies with diapers. Try it sometime. You certainly look like you need it…” I give a little curtsey, put my shoes on and we head out the door.
The bright California sun shines down on us. It is not long til we are headed out of the airport, headed out for whatever grand adventure the two of us can find. At last, just as we knew it would be, Jenna+Sam >world.

Kris, for our fun day at the beach, thank you

This one’s for you, my DL friend. Enjoy!
I watched Daddy as he went outside. I could see him in the backyard from the big picture window in the kitchen. He was going out there to get something from the garden. I’d promised him I’d behave while he was out there, but I knew better. Now was my chance…
